K2's new urbanism Plans have retro look

K2 Urbancorp LLC - a new urbanism-style development company - has announced its business partners and plans. Founded in January by David B. Wamsley, Fincher W. Smith and Timothy A. Jamieson, K2 plans to construct Old Florida-style bungalow homes and cottages in several Tallahassee locations, including on several lots in Southwood. The company has also purchased a property at Hillcrest and Tennessee streets, where it will renovate a 1939 home and build two bungalows on adjacent properties. K2 is also planning a 15-home project within the city limits. The companys partners include Huffman Tarmey Architecture PA and R.F. Gray Builders. New Urbanism is a trend of smaller, well-designed homes within walking distance of a towns amenities. The company is located at 541 Beverly Court. Details: 222-3779
