Timothy Jamieson, a native of Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania, graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University in 1986 and received his M.D. and PhD. in Molecular Biology in 1994. After a thesis dealing with the role of tyrosine kinases in cancer development, and an internship at the University of Pennsylvania, he completed his residency in radiation oncology at Duke University. While there, Jamieson served as Chief Resident and won the American Radium Society's Young Oncologist award. Currently, Jamieson is a partner in the Florida & Georgia Radiation Oncology Group and serves on the medical advisory board for OnCure Medical, which owns facilities in Florida and California. He also serves on the medical advisory board for the Coastal Medical Access Project, which serves the uninsured, working poor in southeast Georgia.
